MOLECULAR METABOLISM
Second Cycle Programmes
(Master's Degree)

D.1. General Information about Program

Back

Metabolism is a research area in which many different disciplines work in coordination. These studies are carried out by using research methods and tools used by metabolic diseases, molecular genetics, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biochemical genetics, genetics, molecular cell biology and bioinformatics sciences. In the field of metabolism, research is carried out to understand the diagnosis and treatment of hereditary metabolic diseases and the pathophysiological mechanisms that cause these diseases by using the scientific knowledge obtained from all these disciplines. Master's program students work in a research and practice environment suitable for interdisciplinary teamwork on hereditary metabolic diseases. Students plan and implement research using the achievements they will obtain from different disciplines during their education. It serves as a trained and qualified scientist for the development and questioning of original scientific hypotheses in the field of molecular metabolism, presenting and discussing the results obtained using scientific methods in the field, and new methods and advanced research on the molecular basis of hereditary metabolic diseases.
