D.1. General Information about Program

The aim of graduate program (with thesis) is to provide access to information by doing scientific research and gain of the ability of the student on evaluation and interpretation of information. Graduates, who have requirements of admission, can apply for a graduate program. (https://egitimbilimlerienstitusu.hacettepe.edu.tr/).Master's degree program in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System consists of from courses not less than 60 ECTS credits and from thesis not less than 60 ECTS credits. Maximum two of the courses that students should take, can be chosen from undergraduate courses, if they were not taken during the undergraduate education. In addition, courses can be selected from courses, which are provided by other higher education institutions on recommendation of head of the department and approval of the Institute Board of Directors. D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

According to the European Credit Transfer System, not less than a total of 60 ECTS of the courses and not less than 60 ECTS credits for thesis study, by completing the special topics course, which includes thesis study and successfully complete thesis study.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

With the inclusion of graduate courses, which were taken as a special student of a student, graduate courses, which were taken before the enrollment in the institute in the last five years, from domestic/international higher education institutions can be transferred to program, the student is enrolled, according the advisor opinion, recommendation of the board of the department and decision of board of institute. However, more than 2/3 of the total credit a student enrollment of program is not considered to transfer of credits of graduates courses as special student.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

This programm aims to train up qualified students on the topic science and mathematics education as endowed with definite knowledge and skills, as who could do scientific research, who have skills of reaching, evaluating and interpreting information, who know measurement and evaluation approaches, who design instructional environments with respect to the current technological developments, who use different instructional methods and strategies, who follow the current research in his/her field, who control each phase of the research related to his/her field on the basis of social, scientific and ethical values and teach those values.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

.Master's degree program is 120 ECTS credits in total. 60 credits gain during the course period and 60 credits gain during the thesis period. Except seminar course, all the courses in the program are elective courses which students can take in the direction of their interest by taking their advisor's opinion. Students are required to take only one of the compulsory seminer courses in the program with the opinion of the head of the department and their consultant. All courses are elective courses except for compulsory seminer courses. Students can take these courses from inside and outside the university in accordance with their interest and by taking opinion of their consultant. D.16. Graduation Requirements

A student, who successfully completed to compulsory courses of the program (at least 60 ECTS credits) and has academic average at least 2.75, presents thesis/art work at the end of the second semester. After the succesful thesis defence, the student graduates from program.
