1. Gains basic knowledge about population structure and processes, causes and consequences of demographic transition, a theoretical perspective and knowledge of transforming knowledge into practice.

2. Comprehends interdisciplinary interplay involving demography.

3. Learns indicators and models on population structure/processes, computes indicators using data and models, modelling, simulation, projection.

4. Develops skills to analyze theoretical knowledge, evaluate its reflections in practice, combine theoretical and data-driven knowledge, prepare publications abiding by academic and ethical rules.

5. Can make oral/written presentations at (inter)national meetings, take responsibility individually, work in groups in academic studies and practices, prepare projects, conduct research and interpret results.

6. Expands boundaries of knowledge by doing an original demography thesis.

7. Follows (inter)national publications related to demography.
