5. Guides (trains) requesting parties to investigate existing health problems in communities, shares the information in a team work and leads to capacity building.
6. Takes initiative on finding effective solutions to novel and specific health problems or acute conditions; leads provision of required evidence, as needed.
7. Produces evidence-based solutions for health problems of concern to policy decision makers.
8. Provides and strengthens the interdisciplinary interaction in the field of epidemiology.
9. Leads/contributes to national and international health policy studies, with a view of epidemiology.

11. Follows the international developments in epidemiology, evaluates them and leads to their use in national studies.
