1. Gain theoretical knowledge on survey methodology.

2. Gain knowledge on basic concepts related to quantitative research methods, acquire a theoretical point of view, and develop the skills to transform this knowledge into survey design, implementation and analysis.

3. Gain knowledge on sampling techniques used in quantitative methods, and develop generalizable, survey design ability.

4. Gain knowledge on learning and implementing the models and techniques used in quantitative data analysis.

5. Gain basic theoretical knowledge on qualitative research methods, theoretical point of view, and develop the skills to transform this knowledge into research design, sampling, generation of qualitative data and analysis.

6. Gain knowledge on the differences between quantitative and qualitative research methods and their areas of use.

7. Develops the skills to interpret the results of quantitative and/or qualitative data analyses and transform them into publications that are within academic and ethical rules.
