D.1. General Information about Program

Graduates who complete this program can independently conduct original research in the field of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, analyze and comment on scientific research and development activities from a broad and deep perspective, and gain the ability and ability to determine the necessary steps to achieve original results. Graduates of the Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation doctorate program graduate with the title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

D.4. Provisions for Registration

To have a bachelor degree diploma in the area of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

To have a Master of Science degree in the area of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

To graduate from Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program, the student should complete at least 8 half-years and should contain 240 ECTS credits successfully or should receive an equivalent education from abroad in the field of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation doctorate program.

To be fulfilled requirements which stated in Item 33 and Item 34 of Hacettepe University Post-Graduate Education-Teaching and Examinations Regulation for PhD qualification program. 

To be successful in the proficiency exam. The Academic Council of the Department should approve the thesis proposal.

To be fulfilled the Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences Thesis Evaluation and Education Requirements; the majority of the jury during defense of the thesis, is required.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

To be graduated from Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation or Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Master of Science program or an equivalent degree from abroad/international institutions. 

D.7. Goals and Objectives

To train knowledgeable, enlightened, adequate and competent doctors of science who have the qualifications of a universal scientist in teaching, research and practice in the field of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, who can plan and conduct an original research independently, who can present the new information obtained for the benefit of science and humanity, who contribute to the policies produced at national and international level.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

In this program, physiotherapists who can carry out and develop their clinical and academic studies at the doctoral level in specialized fields of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation are trained. Physiotherapists who are graduated from Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation doctorate program will be able to give information and orientation about rehabilitation strategies to the public, able to contribute to the national and international political strategies, able to support the participation to the physical activities, able to transfer the academic and clinical information and able to increase the health quality in light of specific Pediatric Physiotherapy and  Rehabilitation assessment and applications.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation doctorate program contains 240 ECTS including the compulsory, elective courses and thesis study. Students are able to get courses related to their area from different programs.
