D.1. General Information about Program

Health Care Management Program, was founded in parallel with the development and evolution of health management all over the world. Program aims to improve the knowledge of management of health services and institutions by educating, training and researching at undergraduate and postgraduate leves, and preserves the role of being the first and the leader department in this field in Turkey. To educate students who can contribute to solve the problems of health care sector, are decision-focused (information systems, planning, marketing, governing board, relations with medical staff, organization relations with its environment, and budgeting), and are practice-focused (coordination and team work abilities, interpersonal relations, following the behaviors and practices of successful health care managers). The language of instruction is Turkish.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

1. Those having a university diploma in any field can apply for the program.

2. There is no minimum grade-point average (GPA) requirement.

3. There is no requirement for an ALES or Foreign Language Exam certificate. However, if the applicant submits a certificate, the following weighting schema will be used in evaluation (for those not submitting a certificate for ALES or Foreign Language, the score is considered to be zero).

Evaluation Criteria:

ALES Score: 20%

Foreign Language Score: 10%

GPA: 30%

Interview: 40%

4. International students' applications are accepted in line within “Hacettepe University Graduate Programme and Exam Regulation" in Official Gazette (26 November 2016, No:29900).

5. The provisions which are not covered, will be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of Hacettepe University's Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Graduate programs may be accepted related university or another institute department in higher technological institute or another institution of higher education graduate program successfully completed at least one semester of student by transfer. Admission requirements to transfer determined with regulations adopted by Senate.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

The main aim of this course is training scientist who have reached a sufficent level in health care manegement, able to devolop in self- field, conversing with people who work together, having responsibility, working on her/his own or others by providing healthcare management education at the modern and universial level.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

The students who graduate from Program of Health Care Management with success, have an opportunity to be employed at a wide range of service aeas, at the hospitals as the first instance, and in various health institutions and foundations at the public and private sector as mid- and high level managers responsible for administrative, financial and technical tasks.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

The programme have 5 compulsory and 11 elective courses.

D.15. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

On evaluation and assessment methods implemented for each course prepared by faculty member and in "Course Teaching Plan" that included the Information package is defined.
