The Master's Program in Geomatics Engineering was started at 2011-2012 spring semester with Turkish as the instruction language. The revised program has been on going with English as the language of instruction since 2019-2020 academic year. The program is offered by Geomatics Engineering Department under the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Hacettepe University. The PhD program is eight semesters. Regardless of whether registration is made for each semester and excluding the scientific preparation the maximum completion period is twelve semesters. The quota is determined by the department every year. There is no internship period to be fulfilled during the program.
Recent advancements in information technologies and geomatics engineering have been considered in the development of the Program. Students in the Program can specialize in various areas of geomatics engineering including; geodesy, surveying, photogrammetry, remote sensing, global navigation satellite systems, geographical information systems, cartography, and land management.
