D.4. Provisions for Registration

 
To have a Bachelor of Nursing Diploma.

To have ALES (SAY / EA) score type and ALES and Foreign Language base score determined by the Health Sciences Institute Board and approved by the Hacettepe University Senate http://www.saglikbilimleri.hacettepe.edu.tr/en/menu/ales_foreign_language_scores-252

To meet the application requirements of Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations and Institute of Health Sciences.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Those who have successfully completed all courses of at least 21 credits included in the program (for a total of 120 ECTS) and have successfully made their thesis defense in front of the jury meet the requirements of competence necessary for graduation.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Nursing baccalaurate degree graduates are accepted. Students who has begun another internal medicine nursing master program are accepted after they meet minimum requirements of this programme by completing their missing courses.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

This program aims to train specialist nurses who has current expertise level of knowledge in medical nursing field; combines, analysis and synthesis that knowledge with different disciplines? knowledge to generate new knowledge; conducts researches by acting ethically; uses research outcomes as solutions of nursing practice problems, and presents research outcomes nationally and internationally, adopts and internalizes personal development and lifelong learning principles, thinks analytically and critically, acts responsibly and sensitively about community health. 

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

A study was started in order to determine Internal Medicine Nursing MsN degree graduates? opinions on the training. We reached four graduates in this study .

Their opinions on the training are given below.

• One person partially satisfied
• Other one satisfied  and
• Two persons are very satisfied.

All of our graduates; 

• Recognize and access to sources of information related to their training field
• Analysis-synthesis ability and have adequate equipment
• Have adequate information in the field
• Plan and implementation patient care using the theoretical knowledge
• Know the ethical principles of nursing
• Be sensitive to professional and public health problems
• Define the current health problems

Our graduates reported the differences from other university graduates as; 

• Receive a quality education
• Be more practical and selective while searching and achieving sources of information
• Gain ability of synthesizing, distinguishing, summarizing and presenting the information 
• Be more confident. 

%25 of graduates reported that the educational preparation for the profession is good, 75% as very good. Graduates also stated that additional to department courses; they also stated that they learn from different backgrounds and social issues, and they like opportunities to integrate some courses focusing the scope of the article or the research processes used by programs such as SPSS programs, and courses like physical examination and ethic in our department.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

The ratio of compulsory courses to elective courses is 47%. 

If it is necessary or if student requests, student can take more  courses (credit) than minumum credit in both programs. Still,  if it is necessary or if student requests, student can choose (5%)  courses from  different  faculties / departments of our university, in this way, the courses that taken can be used to complete the minumum credit. 

For graduation;  in Master degree, a minimum of 120 ECTS must be completed.

In program, student can take the minimum credit that is required to take, by extending over the first 2 semesters  at will. In this program, the student  starts the thesis from the 3. Semester.

All of the courses in the Master degree and Doctoral programs are semester (seasonal) courses.

The program provided a total of not less than 21 credit hours to be required and elective courses and thesis work.
