Alumnae who complete this program can plan and conduct research, interpret scientific results, and use their comments in new research in the field of rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation. He/she will be able to present the skills of planning, maintaining and accessing information, interpreting clinical results in national and international academic environments. Alumnae who are graduated from Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program will be awarded with the qualification of Philosophy of Doctorate (PhD).

To have a bachelor degree diploma in the area of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
To have a Master of Science degree diploma in the area of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
To meet the student application requirements for the Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute doctoral program (http://www.saglikbilimleri.hacettepe.edu.tr/yonetmelik.html)
To have successfully completed at least 8 semesters and 240 ECTS credits for Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation doctoral education or to have received an equivalent education abroad.
To be fulfilled requirements which stated in Article 33 and Article 34 of Hacettepe University Post-Graduate Education-Teaching and Examinations Regulation for PhD qualification program.Â
To be successful in the proficiency exam. The Academic Council of the Department should approve the thesis proposal.Â
To be fulfilled the Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences? Thesis Evaluation and Education Requirements; the majority of the jury during defense of the thesis, is required.
Graduated from a master's program in physiotherapy and rehabilitation or a rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation program or an equivalent degree abroad
Having the qualifications of a scientist who can follow the current literature on rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation training, providing research opportunities, producing and maintaining projects, able to work scientifically in the special fields of rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation according to the different health needs of the society, planning and independently conducting an original research, to train a well-informed, enlightened, competent and competent doctor of science who can present the obtained information for the benefit of science and humanity, contribute to national policies in his field, and who are knowledgeable on a national and international scale.
In this program, physiotherapists who can carry out and develop their clinical and academic studies at the doctoral level in areas specialized in rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation are trained. Physiotherapists are people, who received the title of doctor of science in the field of rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation, inform and direct the society, produce projects at national and international level, contribute to the field of rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation in health policies, able to transfer the academic and clinical information to national and international scientific environments, and to take part in the academic staff of the physiotherapy and rehabilitation faculties and departments of universities.
Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program contains 240 ECTS credits including the compulsory, elective courses and thesis study. Students are able to get courses related to their area from different programs.

To be awarded a Philosophy of Doctorate degree from Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program, the students must complete at least 240 ECTS credits and their thesis successfully.
