The Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation master's program with thesis was created in order to raise graduates trained in rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation, to be able to present their knowledge and skills under a multidisciplinary framework in a clinical setting, to be able to apply the approaches recommended by international guidelines in adult and pediatric rheumatology teams in hospitals and contribute to the common treatment goal, to be able to train physiotherapists equipped with up-to-date information in disease management, to create an environment for academic studies and contribute to the development of the field.
Graduates who complete this program can use the competencies gained at the level of expertise in the field of rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation and can carry out advanced professional practice and research.Master?s degree graduates of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, graduates acquire the degree of master of science.

To complete the program which is at least 2 years and contains 120 ECTS credits successfully or to receive equivalent education abroad for graduating from Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation postgraduate program with thesis. Students must choose at least 60 ECTS credits and with compulsory courses; It is required to complete 60 ECTS credits from the thesis study, to successfully complete the courses in accordance with the provisions of Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations, to provide at least 2.50 overall academic average, and to successfully conclude the thesis study and defense. To enable the acquisition of multidisciplinary, investigative, questioning and evidence-based practice skills in the field of in Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation; to gain the ability to conduct scientific research, access information, evaluate and interpret information; to raise knowledgeable, intellectual, competent and competent scientists who have reached the universal level in terms of education in their field, on a national and international scale.
In this program, physiotherapists who are able to carry out and develop their clinical and academic studies at the level of expertise in fields specialized in Rheumatological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation are trained.Graduates of the rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation science specialization program gain the knowledge to follow international guidelines in the field of adult and pediatric rheumatology physiotherapy and rehabilitation.They are able to carry this knowledge to the society and scientific platforms in clinical and academic environments, and aim to increase the quality of life of individuals with rheumatism on the basis of measurements specific to rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation in supporting physical activity/exercise, functional gain and social participation.
Physiotherapists graduated from this program can work in different clinics and departments of public and private sector hospitals providing preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative services in rheumatological physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nursing homes,physiotherapy, rehabilitation and exercise centers for children and adults in our country and abroad. They also works in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation departments of universities and can work as a lecturer.

The undergraduate program in our department consists of 120 ECTS (60 ECTS for the courses and 60 ECTS for the thesis work), including common mandatory, mandatory and elective courses and thesis work. Elective courses make up at least 25% of the program. 1/3 of the elective courses are open to other programs without preconditions. 2/3 of the elective courses other course(s) belonging to our program are prerequisites. Students can take non-departmental elective courses as well as in-departmental elective courses.
