D.1. General Information about Program

Master's program of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation was created in order to respond to the training needs of physiotherapists working in the field of pediatrics, to raise graduates equipped with field-specific knowledge, skills and competencies, to create an environment for academic studies and to contribute to the development of the field.

Graduates who have completed this program can use their deepened and developed competencies at the level of expertise in clinical and academic studies at the various specialized areas of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and carry out advanced professional practice and research. Master's degree graduates of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, graduates acquire the degree of master of science.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

In order to be accepted to the Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Master's Program, it is necessary to be a Physiotherapist and to meet the Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences graduate program student application requirements. (https://husagbilens.hacettepe.edu.tr/) 

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to graduate from the Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation master's degree program with thesis, it is necessary to have successfully completed at least 2 years, a total of 120 ECTS program or to have received an equivalent education abroad. Students are required to complete at least 60 ECTS credits of elective and compulsory courses and 60 ECTS credits of thesis work, to successfully complete the courses according to the provisions of Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations, and to have a GPA of at least 2.50 and to successfully complete the thesis study and defense. Undergraduate education in physiotherapy and rehabilitation or international equivalent educations are authoritative.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

To enable the acquisition of multidisciplinary, investigative, questioning and evidence-based practice skills in the field of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation; to gain the ability to conduct scientific research, access information, evaluate and interpret information; To raise knowledgeable, intellectual, competent and competent scientists who have reached the universal level in terms of education in their field, on a national and international scale.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

In this program, physiotherapists who are able to carry out and develop their clinical and academic studies at the level of expertise in fields specialized in Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation are trained. Graduates of the Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation science specialization program are skilled in supporting and guiding the society, supporting participation in physical activity, improving the functions and improving the quality of life in the light of Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation-specific measurements.

Physiotherapists graduated from this program can work in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and exercise clinics for children, departments of public and private hospitals, which provide preventive, treatment and rehabilitative services in our country and abroad, in matters related to pediatrics. They work in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation departments of universities and can work as a lecturer and manager.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation master's program consists of 120 ECTS courses, including compulsory and elective courses. Students can take courses in accordance with the Pediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program from different programs apart from their own programs.
