D.1. General Information about Program

This program is administered by the Graduate School of Science and Engineering. The language of instruction of the program is English, and the duration of the program is 2 years. The program must be completed within a maximum of 3 years

In the program, theoretical and applied research and development are carried out in the fields of thermal-fluid systems and energy, dynamics, control and mechatronics, solid mechanics and design, materials and manufacturing with graduating engineers specialized in these areas.

The department of Mechanical Engineering at Hacettepe university was founded in 1992. Turkey's first undergraduate automotive engineering program offered by the department admitted its first stream of students in 2005. A Master of Science and PhD programs in Mechanical Engineering commenced in Spring 2009 and Fall 2015, respectively. Our department offers an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering since 2018-2019 academic year.

The department accepts 15 to 30 students per semester, once in the fall and spring semesters. The number of students to be admitted each semester is announced by the Graduate School of Science and Engineering

There is no internship requirement during the program.
