D.1. General Information about Program

In the scope of doctorate program, several courses are given to our students to improve their theoretical and practical knowledge in different fields such as bimolecular organization principles, structure of cell membrane, membrane dynamics, membrane transport, advanced biochemical techniques, instrumental analyses, human biochemistry, enzymatic regulation, nucleic acid biochemistry, bacteria genetics, molecular biochemistry of mutagens and carcinogens, genomics and proteomics, cancer genetics, practical molecular biology techniques, molecular systematics and short-term mutagenicity test systems

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

With the inclusion of graduate courses, which were taken as a special student of a student, graduate courses, which were taken before the enrollment in the institute in the last five years, from domestic/international higher education institutions can be transferred to program, the student is enrolled, according the advisor opinion, recommendation of the board of the department and decision of board of institute. However, more than 2/3 of the total credit a student enrollment of program is not considered to transfer of credits of graduates courses as special student. D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

Our students graduated from PhD programs can be academics in different faculties like science, medicine, agriculture, pharmacy and veterinarian faculties. They can work in different ministries, research institutes, state-owned enterprises within the state sector. Furthermore, our students have job opportunities in private sector organizations like food, drug, agriculture research laboratories, quality control units, test-tube baby laboratories. They can also work as sales representative or consultant. Rapid developments in molecular biology area lead up to new career opportunities.

PhD program contains 8 semester. Students need at least 240 ECTS and a PhD thesis in order to graduate from the program.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

A student, who successfully completed to compulsory courses of the program and has academic average at least 2.75, presents thesis/art work at the end of the second semester. After the succesful thesis defence, the student graduates from program.
