The rapid progress of scientific developments in the field of health both in world and in our country has caused increasing of the legal disputes and also has arisen new legal discussions. The rapid increase of the number of cases arising medical malpractices has led healthcare professionals to want to be informed about health law. With the problems in practice, the need for scientific studies in the field of health law is gradually increasing. For this reason, it is aimed to train expert lawyers in this field and to inform healthcare professionals about the health law.
Students who complete the program will acquire interdisciplinary knowledge about program subjects and legal practices in line with the program's objectives.
The program started admitting students for the first time in 2022. The capacity is 50 students.

1. Those having a university diploma in any field can apply for the program.
2. There is no minimum grade-point average (GPA) requirement.
3. There is no requirement for an ALES or Foreign Language Exam certificate. However, if the applicant submits a certificate, the following weighting schema will be used in evaluation (for those not submitting a certificate for ALES or Foreign Language, the score is considered to be zero).

Students must complete at least 30 local Credits and 90 ECTS with courses and final project, in order to graduate from the program. In addition to this criteria students must achieve at least 2.50 GPA out of 4.00.
Students who are eligible to enroll the Master's Program must have an undergraduate degree or an equivalent degree from foreign institutions.
Founding of the proposed program at Hacettepe University will meet a need in this field, in such a period where the importance of health law rapidly increasing. The program focuses on the problems arising in the field of health law. While providing healthcare professionals with knowledge in the field of health law; it will also provide specialization for lawyers in this field. The program aims to approach the subject in accordance with the interdisciplinary nature of health law.
Graduates of the program will receive the 'Health Law Master's Degree' title and will be specialized in health law.

The workload per ECTS in the program is 30 hours.
The courses in the program are elective courses. The variety of elective courses offers different options to students who enrolled in the program. In addition, courses from different disciplines provides that the program has a dynamic structure. Students enrolled in the program also have the opportunity to take courses from different programs.
Evaluation and assessment methods for each course is defined in a "Course Teaching Plan", which is prepared by the faculty members who teaches that course. The relevant articles of the Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations apply to the exams and grades of the courses.
The program normally lasts for 2 semesters, or a maximum of 3 semesters. There is no mandatory internship requirement to complete the program.
The minimum number of credits that students must complete at least 30 local Credits and 90 ECTS by achieving courses and the final Project. In additon to this criteria students must achieve at least 2.50 GPA out of 4.00 in order to graduate from the program.
