Aim of Cancer Epidemiology Master Program is teaching the general principles and methods of epidemiology as well as cancer registries, clinical and genetic cancer epidemiology, basic and clinical research, planning and data analysis, cancer etiology, and mechanisms of carcinogenesis. The Cancer Epidemiology program has been continuing since 1991, and our first student graduated in 1993.

Cancer Epidemiology graduate program graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, foreign language and those who have enough grades from the central exams required for postgraduate education can apply.

A total of 120 ECTS is essential for graduating from the Cancer Epidemiology master program.
Applicants must be graduated from Medicine Faculty, and must have broad linguistic skills in English and Turkish
Teaching the cancer registries, clinical and genetic cancer epidemiology, planning the basic and clinical research and data analysis, cancer etiology, and mechanisms of carcinogenesis, as well as the general principles and methods of epidemiology.
Graduates know the basic principles of cancer epidemiology, and are able to implement these skills into practice.

Theoretical courses are completed in two semesters, and next two semesters are for thesis work. This program includes lectures from Public Health department.
Minimum required score is 60/100 in all course examinations.Â
The passing grade of the courses in the Cancer Epidemiology Master's Program is 60. Each course has its own exam layout. Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied.
