Our department trains both curriculum development specialist to plan and carry out formal and informal education in both private and public institutions, and instructors to work at Education Faculties at Curriculum and Instruction Departments and other fields like History, English Language Teaching, etc. The medium of instruction is Turkish.

1. Applicants must satisfy the declared admission requirements of Hacettepe University Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination.
2. Succeed in admission the test.
Students are required to complete a total of 90 ECTS (60 ECTS while taking the courses, 30 ECTS while taking term project), have a minimum GPA of 2.75/4.00 (according to Hacettepe University Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination, article 34, subparagraph 4) to be successful at the term project.
The recognition of prior learning will be regulated in line with the related laws and regulations of Hacettepe University Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination.
The aim of our Master's Degree program is to prepare individuals who can guide the development and evaluation of curricula so that they enable students comprehend the nature of science and enhance meaningful learning, who can design effective teaching and learning environments, who possess higher order thinking skills, who utilize scientific principles in every part of their daily life and who are life-long learners.
Graduates of Department of Curriculum and Instruction find employment in both state and private organizations as education specialist to plan and execute pre-service and in-service training programs. They are going to guiding their collegeous as subject matter specialists for planning instruction, practice and evaluation. The diploma and diploma supplement that they get is going to provide achieving various teacher profession in Ministry of National Education.

The program offers 5 required and 13 elective, in total 18 courses. 5 required courses and 5 elective courses must be taken, and as a result, 50% of the courses are required, 50% of the courses are elective courses. In total 10 courses and a term project has to be completed. One of the must courses is Seminar Course. Elective courses can be taken both in fall and spring terms, both from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and other departments. Students are expected to fulfill a minimum of 90 ECTS (30 local credits, minimum 10 courses and 1 term project). All the courses in the program are taught over a single term. For EPO643 Curriculum and Evaluation II course EPO642 Curriculum and Evaluation I course is prerequisite. For EPO640 Contemporary Approaches in Instructional Design course EPO618 Theories of Development and Learning course is prerequisite.
Assessment and evaluation methods are determined by the related instructor/s and defined in ‘instruction plan' in the information package. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading will be regulated in line with the related laws and regulations of Hacettepe University Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination.
