In Sýhhiye, Beytepe and Beþevler Campuses, there are health centers where
physicians, dentists, physiotherapists, psychological counselors, nurses, social
service experts, and laboratory and radiology technicians provide medical
services including emergency services 24 hours a day. In 2012, student
psychological counseling service was started to be offered to the students at
Hacettepe University. Whenever necessary, patients are referred to the Hacettepe
University Hospitals in Sýhhiye. Necessary prescriptions are supplied by the
practice pharmacies, run by the Faculty of Pharmacy, located in both campuses.
Hacettepe University Hospitals include the general, pediatric and the oncology
hospitals, all having a capacity of 1100 beds. There are 114 out-patient clinics
actively treating patients. The hospital is reputed as being a reference center
for the whole country.
The international students are regarded as Hacettepe
University students, which enables them to benefit from the student health
centers. If the patients are treated in a hospital, a valid health insurance is
necessary in Turkey.

According to the law 6111, published on February 25, 2011, international students must be insured
by the Social Security Institution of Turkey. This insurance is called General

Duties and Responsibilities of the Registrar’s Office include performing
necessary duties concerning new enrollment, student statuses and course
information, processing graduation procedures, issuing Student IDs, handling
scholarship offers and tracking graduates, and performing other similar tasks to
be assigned.

THE BEYTEPE LIBRARY
Beytepe Library started to
offer services in a temporary building within Beytepe Campus in 1975, and has
been actively offering services in its present building since August 22, 1977.
Library Collection: The collection consists of various print and electronic
resources in the fields of science, engineering, foreign languages, fine arts,
social and human sciences, law, sport sciences, etc. It also includes
audio-visual resources of movies on DVD.
HEALTH SCIENCES LIBRARY
The
Health Sciences Library was established within Hacettepe Children’s Hospital in
1958, and was named Hacettepe University Library following the foundation of
Hacettepe University in 1967. After the present building of Beytepe Library was
constructed, the Medical Library was separated into two: Beytepe Library and the
Health Sciences Library. The Health Sciences Library started to offer services
within the morphology building at Hacettepe University, and was moved to its
present building in 2003.
Library Collection: The collection consists of
various print and electronic resources in the fields of medicine and health
sciences. It also provides special collections and services regarding
evidence-based medicine, etc.
CONSERVATORY LIBRARY
The history of Ankara
State Conservatory dates back to 1924, when the Teacher Training College of
Music was opened in 1924. Following the establishment of the State Conservatory
within the College in 1936, the collection of the Training College was
transferred to the Conservatory. In the same year, Ankara State Conservatory and
its library, which had been operating under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism
until the year 1982, were affiliated to Hacettepe University under the Council
of Higher Education.
Library Collection: The collection consists heavily of
musical notes. It includes up-to-date resources, old Turkish and Arabic
manuscripts, and old edition books and musical notes. It also provides various
classic gramophone and long play records of classical and Turkish music.

Society was established by students from different faculties in 2007 to help in
coming and out going Exchange students during their Erasmus experience. Exchange
Student Society (here after, ESS-Hacettepe) cooperates closely with European
Union Office (EU Office) and International Student Office.
ESS-Hacettepe
strives to foster friendships that will enlarge Erasmus students’ Professional
and social network.
ESS-HACETTEPE sees itself as an ambassador for our
university and city, and through this it hopes to enhance the experience of each

For the past 20 years, Hacettepe University, School of Foreign Languages has been
offering a variety of language courses tailored to the needs of different target
groups.
Intensive language courses targeted at students who intend to pass

In certain programs the students are asked to complete internships to gradute from
the related program. In some of the programs internship is not compulsory. The
