Course objectiveThis course aims to make a critical political-economic analysis of the notion of gender by focusing on the realms of social production and reproduction. 
Learning outcomes
  1. Explain gender with a critical political-economic understanding.
  2. Discuss how gender norms shape labour markets and the realm of social reproduction in the neoliberal era.
  3. Analyse women's productive and reproductive labour conditions and their gender-specific experiences.
  4. Make a political-economic analysis of the gender policies of different political regimes.
Course ContentThis course consists but not limited to: gender theories and political-economy theories, neoliberal labour policies, the decisive role of gender norms in the realms of production and reproduction, women's gender-specific labour processes, gender policies of states and gender struggles.
