Course objective | The digital transformation is considered to have a great influence on the current and future production systems. There has been a growing interest towards the concept of Industry 4.0 from various disciplines and sectors. Therefore, firstly the concept and evolution of Industry 4.0 are introduced. Then, the technologies used in Industry 4.0 are explained. The probable outcomes of the digital transformation are discussed with specific reference to digitalization examples. | |||||
