Course objective | The aim of this course is to provide an immediate perception of the unprocessed and pure production materials of all kind of art and in particular the art of sculpture. To learn the basic concepts of art through nature itself, to provide the practice of transforming nature into art objects. | |||||

Week 1 | Overview of concepts related to nature such as environment, land, ecology. |
Week 2 | Creation of works with materials in their natural and raw state rather than sculpt them in studios. |
Week 3 | Detecting and collecting natural materials on an expedition around Beytepe Campus and bringing the necessary materials to the workshop. |
Week 4 | Creating projects with decided and collected materials |

Week 6 | 1st Midterm: Evaluation of created projects |
Week 7 | An site in the campus will be chosen for every student that can be manipulated by each of them. |
Week 8 | Drawings, photographs and videos will be produced at the chosen site and the project will be created. |
Week 9 | Students will apply their own projects at the chosen site. |
Week 10 | Projects will continue to be implemented |
Week 11 | 2nd Midterm: Evaluation of finished projects |
Week 12 | Readings on nature and body relation, contemporary examples will be examined |
Week 13 | Project proposals will be discussed through body-nature relationship |
