Course objectiveThe purpose of the course is to enable the students to make use of the structures acquired in TSL 1 course at a higher level. It is aimed at providing the students with the signs pertinent to certain subject areas, especially to their profession, so as to construct advance level effective communication.  
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the course the students will be able to: 1)make use of knowledge acquired in TSL 1 at a higher level communication contex.
  2. 2) know how to use the special signs related to the profession.
  3. 3) distinguishe the similar sings at different contexts.
  4. 4) reach to a certain speed at using the signs.

1. Will gain knowledge about the basic concepts of linguistics and linguistic features of sign languages.     
2. Will survey the literature on interdisciplinary areas pertaining to sign linguistics and understand the interaction of sign linguistics with fields such as sociology, translation sciences and communication sciences.     
3. Have knowledge about the historical development of sign languages and Turkish Sign Language.      
4. Will evaluate phenomena such as language contact, language genesis, creole, bilingualism within the context of sign languages.  X
