Course objectiveThis course aims to provide basic knowledge about the general outlook of Shamanism in the Turkic World and to give insight about the influence of shamanism on Turkic People?s cultural life and an eclectical point of view in terms analysing these influences . 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the courses, students will be informed about ? Old Turkic Worldview in terms of cultural continuities and the general structure of Shamanism around the Turkic world ? Shamanism in Turkic People?s cultural lives and its effects ? Practices around the Turkic World related to shamanism ? Determining the effects of shamanism on the cultural lives of Turkic people and gaining an eclectic point of view in analysing actual cultural events.
Course ContentThis lecture deals with the phenomenon of Shamanism and its effects on Turkish worldview?s appearance and development, a special attention will be given cultural continuities and changes.
