Course objectiveBu dersin amacı Türklerin dinsel tarihini öğrenmek ve Türklerin geçmiÅŸte inandıkları dinlerin kültürleri üzerindeki etkilerini saptamaktır.This Course aims to learn the Turkic history of religions and to determine the effects of the old religions of the Turks on their Culture. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the courses, students will be able to; ? Explain key concepts and brief history of pre-Islamic Turkish religions such as Shamanism, Mannheism, Buddhism Karayism (Karaylık), Christianity and their influences on Turkish culture. ? Have an idea about characteristic phases of Turkish thought and religions by using old literary and historical material.
Course Content? Key concepts and brief history of pre-Islamic Turkish religions such as Shamanism, Mannheism, Buddhism Karayism (Karaylık), Christianity and their influences on Turkish culture.
? A survey of the characteristic phases of Turkish thought and religions by using old literary and historical material.
? The comparative treatment of the religious concepts and manner of the other cultures with consideration of basic religious and mythological themes and motifs.
