Course objectiveThe aim of this course is to enable students understand the characteristics of written press language and its translations based on selective materials chosen from well-known and long established foreign newspapers, magazines and news portals. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end the of the course the students will be able to: -recognize the main aspects and characteristics of the written press language -analyse various news texts in a detailed way -make translations of news items from French into Turkish -translate a news item or opinion page according to the needs of the customer -revise and review a translated news text
