Course objectiveTo gain the skills, and knowledge of managing the performance management systyem in organization and developing and implementing performance measurement system 
Learning outcomes
  1. Explain the concept of performance management.
  2. Distinguish performance management from performance appraisal.
  3. Understand that performance management is an ongoing process including the interrelated components of prerequisites, performance planning, performance execution, performance assessment, performance review, and performance renewal and recontracting.
  4. Explain why the usefulness of a performance management system relies to a large degree on its relationship with the organization?s and unit?s strategic plans and job analysis.
  5. Describe and explain the key features of an ideal performance management system.
  6. Define what is and is not performance and Approaches to Measuring Performance. Define the performance evaluation sytems and understand their advantages and disadvantages.
  7. Develop performance measurement system, and provide a description of specific behavioral indicators
  8. Explain the importance of providing feedback on improving performance
