Course objective | To discuss the interdisciplinary perspective expected to be practised by depending on sample texts; To mention scientific thinking method, research techniques and data collection methods; To analyse the modern techniques used in linguistic, historical and cultural studies and to present them by means of sample studies; To examine the methods and techniques having been developed in the world in linguistic, historical and cultural studies and to search for some ways to create new techniques overtaking the old ones; To Use the opportunities provided by modern technology and software and to promote them to be used in Turkish studies; To discuss comparative solution methods concerning the classification, arrangement and the sub-problems in the researches about planning, source and literature; To discuss intellectual property right in scientific studies and the obligation to give reference in scientific quotations and its limits. | |||||

Course Content | To study modern techniques used in Turkish studies and introduce them by giving examples from sample studies; To compare past and contemporary studies, to try new methods, to adapt new approaches and methods to it while producing new knowledge; To examine the methods and techniques developed in Turkish studies, and to develop new methods and techniques; To adapt comparative methods and analysis techniques to Turkish studies by using the opportunities provided by modern technology and software and to promote them to be used in Turkish studies; To question source texts and data in Turkish studies by making use of analysis methods of source, text, and system and to promote them to be questioned in Turkish studies; To make use of analysis methods which is essential for research object: assessing sample examples related to table, graph, map. | |||||
