Course objectiveThe objective of the course is to help the student research and analyze the national and international scale of contemporary art, examine the developments that shaped the art scene in social and philosophical context, and transform these into an academical level text. Also the course will require the students to give seminars/presentations on the subjects they researched 
Learning outcomes
  1. On competing this course the students will develop ideas on artwork and space/environment relationship, examine problems and search for solutions
  2. Gain experience of working with a group, collective thought, project creation and realization
  3. Analyze and research the changes in Turkish and world art scene, and present their findings in oral and written form
  4. Use at least one foreign language to monitor international contemporary art, effectively communicate knowledge and opinion in panel discussions, symposiums and debates.
Course ContentThe examination of original artwork based on visual thought, scanning of texts, papers and documents
. Research and discussion on the possibility of working with a group, collective thought and project production
. Study of the developments in 20th century Turkish and World contemporary art scene, questioning of its basis
. Forming of an academically approvable paper based on the findings
