Course objectiveAim of this course is to enable students to recognize types of materials in learning and teaching of Turkish; to provide the knowledge to apply these materials in different contexts and individual differences. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to; Identify the materials used in learning and teaching Turkish as a foreign language,
  2. Prepare a lesson plan to use visual, audio-visual materials in their lessons,
  3. Evaluate materials and define weak points and make adaptations to improve them,
  4. Adapt ready materials in different groups, level, proficiencies, and contexts,
  5. Apply ready-made materials to support individual learning needs,
  6. Use information technologies in developing materials to improve their language proficiencies and foreign language learning skills,
  7. Apply technical and educational parameters in materials development,
  8. Develop their own materials to support language development.
Course ContentTypes of using some audio visual aids in course, applying the ready materials to different groups and levels, applying the materials to encourage the personal learning, using knowledge technology in development of materials, using material design to develop the language skills.

Week 3Examine the texts in coursebooks, images and activity (reading, understanding, observing understanding.
Week 4Examine the listening and understanding materials in coursebooks.
Week 5Examine the materials for speaking and writing skills in coursebooks
Week 6Comprehension materials: Series of Studio-D, didactic movies and activities (A1/A2 Levels) and evaluation
Week 7Comprehension materials: Series of Studio-D, didactic movies and activities (B1/B2 Levels) and evaluation materials
Week 8Comprehension materials: Series of Schritte International, didactic movies and activities and evaluation materials
Week 9Cognitive materials: Materials for coursebook vocabulary and grammar skills and evaluation
Week 10Comprehension materials: Other films (ads, movies, documentaries) produce course activities.
Week 11Evaluation of geographies of countries in different coursebooks
Week 12Computer assisted contexts and visual, audio-visual materials development: Einblicke, Rosetta Stone and Tell me more CD/DVD/BR series.
