Course objectiveThe aim of the course is to examine the establishment and the structure of the International Criminal Court (ICC). 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of this course, the student;  1. will be able to summarize the historical development up to the establishment of the ICC. a. Summarizes the philosophical background of an idea of international criminal court. b. Lists the formerly established ad hoc tribunals.
  2. 2. will be able to list the powers of the ICC. a. Restates the jurisdiction of the ICC. b. Lists the international crimes under the jurisdiction of the ICC.
  3. 3. will be able to restate the sturcture of the ICC. a. Defines authority of the prosecutor. b. Summarizes the rules of procedure.
Course ContentIn this course international criminal trials will be examined in general, International Criminal Court will be analysed in detail.
