Course objectiveThe purpose of this course is to conceptualize students on the fundamental concepts and practices in health related quality of life. 
Learning outcomes
  1. After completing this course, students will be able to, Describe health, function, disability and health related quality of life
  2. Know the taxonomy of the health outcomes measurement tools
  3. Know how to adapt HRQOL instruments to target language and the methods of linguistic validation
  4. Psychometric methods of testing the reliability and the validity of the culturally adopted language versions
  5. Discuss scalar equivalence of the response scales
  6. Know the critical issues about population and clinical applications and special population groups such as children and elderly

The assessment of life quality in special demographic groups such as children, elderly and people with cancer
