Course Content | The course will set out from a discussion of the historical bases of the administrative and political thought processes within the Ottoman state, and will then advance to a discussion of the formation process and features of the state's official ideology, along with the role of religion within this process. The final discussions will focus on the changes and transformations that occurred over time within the empire and how these changes were reflected in political conceptualizations. | |||||
