Course objectiveTo enable the student to gain the knowledge skill, and behavior to maximize independency of the patient using an orthoses.  
Learning outcomes
  1. Knows the clinical features of patients who use orthoses Learns evaluation methods for patients using orthoses Trains the patient to effectively use his/her orthoses Learns the activities and exercises for patients with orthoses
  2. Teaches the skills of orthotic care to the patient Knows about orthoses control and prescription Learns the objectives and requirements of rehabilitation stages applied for patients using orthoses
  3. Gains the skill to plan and apply special physiotherapy and rehabilitation program patients using orthoses Plans home exercise program specific for patients using orthoses
  4. Gains the ability to communicate with the patient Learns to give importance to the security Gains the skill of collecting the results of assessment and recording them
Course ContentChoosing and applying physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs specific to the patient
Plans the orthotic treatment specific for the patient
Phases of orthotic fabrication
Modification procedures
Teaching the patient donning and doffing the orthoses, related exercises and orthotic care
Teaching the patient other physiotherapy approaches to enhanced the effectiveness of the orthoses
