Course objectiveThe aim of this course is to teach the historical development of psycholinguistics, the processes of language acquisition, the biological foundations of language and how language is processed.  
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the semester the students will be able to;
  2. define psycholinguistics and its scope
  3. examine the historical development of the field
  4. review the concepts such as language acquisition, early language acquisition, later language acquisition, processes of language acquisition
  5. develop an awareness about the biological foundations of language
  6. evaluate the relationship between language processes and the brain mechanism
Course ContentThe scope and history of psycholinguistics; and the study of the topics such as language acquisition, early language acquisition, later language acquisition, processes of language acquisition, biological foundations of language and language, culture and cognition.
