Course Content | The course covers a variety of issues: Language structure and functions at phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic levels: structuralist and generative interpretations; the encoding of information structure and pragmatic categories; human languages categorised on the basis of typological and genealogical criteria; language use and semantic interpretation theories; language as an individual and social phenomenon; cognitive exploration of language. | |||||
