Course objective-To make connections between Turcology and Turkish culture-historical transmission, -Analyze resources of Turkish culture-historıcal transmission, the role and importance of these resources in creating cultural assets and the problems encountered in using them, -To develop methodologies in culture-historical transmission. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the course, students
  2. -get acknowledge about Turkish studies,
  3. -learn about general knowledge and methods on culture-historical transmission,
  4. -in the framework of different schools of thoughts, have a general knowledge in Turcology studies in Europe and understand similarities and differences between these schools, and
  5. -try to produce scientific knowledge in the domain of cultural history.
Course ContentExamination of Turkish studies in Europe in a comparative way and analysis of them.
The reasons of the climax of cultural history studies conducted in 19th century and problems in Turkish domain transferred to 21th century.
Methodological problems of Turkish and Turkic world in the area of cultural history.
Determination of indicators to be used in culture-historical transmission and their comparisons.
