Course objectiveEthics in Nursing course includes the knowledge base on major ethical concepts and theories, the assessment of ethical issues specific to the field of nursing practice and ethical decision making in order to provide the basis for professional ethics in nursing. 
Learning outcomes
  1. In this course students are expected to: Understand the basic information about ethical concepts and theories,
  2. Comprehend socio-cultural context of ethics and ethical theories
  3. Understand moral development process
  4. Conceptualize care ethics,
  5. Analyze ethical problems within the context of health care,
  6. Develop a moral viewpoint and sensitivity towards ethical problems
  7. Comprehend the role of nurse in ethical committees
  8. Make ethical decision in nursing practice
Course ContentThe content of this course includes basic information on ethical concepts and scope of bioethics, the social and cultural context of ethics, philosophical basis and relevance of ethics with laws, major ethical theories, and explication of care ethics with nursing, and ethical decision making in nursing practice.
