Course objectivepresenting the quality and quantity of the relation between the cultural change and the decisions made by the social leaders who were involved in the decision mechanism in the process of political and cultural change. getting students to make sense of the relations between ideology and social reality. getting students to acquire the skill of analyzing social facts and events from a holistic perspective. encouraging students to produce scientific knowledge by using a comparative method based on historical resources. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of this course, students; understand the political and social conditions in the period when Turkish Republic was established,
  2. understand the importance of social organizations in the period of establishing the Republic.
  3. learn the chronology of Turkish revolutions,
  4. learn the policies that had an effect on the change taking place in Turkish culture from the Ottoman till the Republic.

Course Contentanalyzing the cultural and institutional heritage in the transition from the Ottoman to the Republic.
the process of planning and applying the Republican reforms,
conceptual analysis of the ways of practicing revisionist movements developed for Turkish culture in the period of 1923-1938,
analyzing the oral, written, visual and physical elements that integrate with the cultural structure in terms of continuity and change,
