Course objectiveComprehension of changing meanings of the contemporary world and analysing the concepts of graphic design, communication design, visual communication design. Theoretical researching and teaching the content of the concept of communication design field. To investigate the application areas of informal communication field. Researching on national and international applications of new media in contact areas of design, print and digital media. Explore teaching theory and practice studies in this area. 
Learning outcomes
  1. Can work as a team with creative director, copywriter and editors
  2. Has foresight (vision) to lead designs that prompt from people or institutions
  3. Has the expertise in the visual communication design
  4. Plans and manages the typical stages of his discipline. Can take responsibility as a team member in collaboration with other professional groups working in the relevant field
  5. Can make graphic design analyzes
Course ContentResearching and examining, communication design, visual communication design, and new media areas of graphic design with examples. Examination of Informal communications, digital and print media, interaction design. Researching on social responsibility campaigns from the scope of communication design and creation of a social responsibility project. Comparison of the mass media and digital media environments. Discussing television trailer as a topic and studying its examples, using television trailer for creating visual content, observation of visual identification of television graphics. Approaching and processing concept of new media and its technological developments. Making theoretical surveys of graphic design applications about its place and the impact on new media.
