Course objective | Comprehension of changing meanings of the contemporary world and analysing the concepts of graphic design, communication design, visual communication design. Theoretical researching and teaching the content of the concept of communication design field. To investigate the application areas of informal communication field. Researching on national and international applications of new media in contact areas of design, print and digital media. Explore teaching theory and practice studies in this area. | |||||

Course Content | Researching and examining, communication design, visual communication design, and new media areas of graphic design with examples. Examination of Informal communications, digital and print media, interaction design. Researching on social responsibility campaigns from the scope of communication design and creation of a social responsibility project. Comparison of the mass media and digital media environments. Discussing television trailer as a topic and studying its examples, using television trailer for creating visual content, observation of visual identification of television graphics. Approaching and processing concept of new media and its technological developments. Making theoretical surveys of graphic design applications about its place and the impact on new media. | |||||
