Course objectiveStudents will gain an awareness and understanding of the cultural and ethnic diversity of the US. They will form an understanding about the United States' evolving relationship with indigenous and other ethnic peoples of the world. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the semester the students will improve their knowledge of diverse ethnic groups, analyze their literary works, discuss their assimilation or their resistance to assimilation.
Course ContentThe aim of this course is to further improve students' already existing knowledge about different ethnic groups: Native American, African American, Latin American, Asian American and Jewish American. The literatures and cultures of ethnic groups will be examined and studied through literary, cultural and critical works.
