Course objectiveThis course aims to increase awereness of students about migration, make them opine about social, political, and economic consequences of migration, make them apprehend transformation process by migration in a historical perspective, and relation of migration with political science studies. 
Learning outcomes
  1. Learn the phenomenon of migration.
  2. Opine about social, political, and economic consequences of migration.
  3. Analyze transformation process by migration.
  4. Apprehend the relation between migration and political science studies.
Course ContentDefinitions of migration, migration models, migration approaches, social mobilization and social, political, and economic transformation, relation between migration and settlement, migration and ghetto, international migration and refugees, population mobility and the Third World, identity, nationalism and migration, globalization and migration, change in urban and rural population in Turkey, social, political, and economic reasons of migration in Turkey, terror and migration in Turkey, labor migration of Turkey origins to the Western Europe.
