Course objectiveThis course aims to explore this subject in order to make students more qualified in solving developmental problems .

  3. Obtains skills to in order to solve development problems in less developed countries.
Course ContentThis course is designed to examine urban planning and policies related to urbanization and environment (regional planning and urbanization, land use, housing, squatting and environmental policies) and their means. This course contains topics such as the phenomena of urban and urbanization both in the West and Turkey; the causes, features and effects of modern urbanization; urbanization, urban planning and housing policy in different political and economic systems; theories of urban and urban planning; the process of urban planning; regional planning; land use and housing policies; environmental problems and environmental policy; urbanization in Turkey and responsible public authorities; the process of urban planning and its means in Turkey; regional planning and land use, housing, squatting policies and their means in Turkey; natural disasters and precautions taken in Turkey; and environmental administration and environmental policies in Turkey.
