Course Content | The following concepts, topics and processes are covered: orientalism and post-colonial criticism, the rise, expansion and development of Islamic civilization until the 18th century, the Tanzimat Era, Young Turks and Iranian constitutionalists, Arab-Israeli conflict, the Age of Nasser in the Middle East, the Iranian Revolution, the Palestinian Uprising and the Gulf War of 1991, the American Occupation of Iraq, the Green Movement in Iran and the Arab Spring. | |||||
