Course objectiveThe aim of this course is to develop an understanding towards the subject.

  1. Gains an awareness of the difference between communication and mass communication.
  2. Learns effects of media on social and political system.
  3. Considers the relationship between Turkish politics and media.
Course ContentThe main aim of the course is to advance the academic knowledge and analytical abilities of students on the following sub-titles: Communication and mass communication; the theories of mass communication; media, society and political system; political propaganda; advertisement and political advertisement; political marketing; politics and media relations in Turkey: Case studies.
