Course objectiveThis course is designed to survey Turkeys experience with democracy with a view to its historical evolution and thematic concerns. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the lesson, the students will learn; Basic historical events which have affected Turkish political life
  2. Various dynamics in Turkeys democratic development
  3. Names of important figures who have important place in Turkish political life
Course ContentThe course will concentrate on state-civil society relations during the democratization process and cover the major themes that define the relationship in different time intervals.
