Course objectiveThis course aims to explore the structure of Turkish economy. It also attempts to analyze the the problems of the Turkish economy, the relations of Turkey with international financial organizations and the effect of regional and global crises on the Turkish economy. 
Learning outcomes
  1. Upon successful completion of this course, the students are expected to: - Enhance the knowledge and skills needed for following developments and trends in the Turkish economy, - Understand the structure of the Turkish economy, - Understand Turkey?s relations with international financial organizations, - Critically analyze the effects of regional and global crises on the Turkish economy.
Course ContentImportant phases of the Turkish economy. Comparison of economic policies in different periods. Turkish economy's integration into the world economy. Turkey's foreign economic relations. Turkey's relations with the international financial organizations. Crises in the Turkish economy. The effect of regional and global crises on the Turkish economy.
