Course objectiveObjective of the course is to understand water as domestic and foreign policy instrument, the main problems of hydropolitics as a multidisciplinal research field and the ways to solve the hydropolitical problems. It is aimed to evaluate some important water conflicts of the world and to show ways to solve them in a peaceful manner.  
Learning outcomes
  1. Upon successful completion of this course, the students are expected to: 1- be able to analyze hydraulic cycle in the world and its physical basis, 2- understand water as an element of domestic policy, 3- understand water as an element of foreign policy, 4- obtain the information about the relationship between water policies and international law
Course ContentThis course includes the main water conflicts of the world, the relation between hydropolitics and sustainable economic development, the hydropolitical dimension of the conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa, the contribution of the resolution of hydropolitical problems to the foreign policy and the peace.
