Course objective | The course will be dealing with intellectual property laws (IPR) for information managers, namely, copyrights for information products and services; patents for innovations; trademarks for for brand names, symbols, and logos; industrial designs; geographical conventions; and trade secrecy laws, etc. It will also deal with IPR for computer software and databases, IPR in cyberspace, international conventions, and the future of IPR. | |||||
