Course objectiveDevelop a conceptual understanding of medical tourism, understand medical tourism market and medical tourism industry, understand issues in treatment processes (including quality, safety and risk) in terms of medical tourism, understand system-level implications of medical tourism for countries of origin and destination, know substantial political and ethical issues related to practices of medical tourism.

  1. A student who finishes this course is expected to analyze, criticize, and evaluate medical tourism market, medical tourism industry, and treatment processes; system-level implications of medical tourism for countries of origin and destination; substantial political and ethical issues related to practices of medical tourism.
