Course objectiveThe main purpose of this course is to provide students with knowledge on epidemiological principles and methods and how to apply these principles and methods to managerial functions.

Course ContentDefinition and purpose of epidemiyology, brief history of epidemiology, uses of epidemiology, quantitative measures, a variety of qualitative measures, a variety of qualitative measures such as mortality and birth, observational research methods (descriptive and analytical ? ecological, case-control, prevalance, incidance), experimental research methods (randomize clinical trials, field trials, community trials) and application of concepts, measures and techniques used in epidemiology to managerial functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling.
